Standard 8 or Super 8 Silent Cine Film Transfer

Your old 8mm Cine films digitally converted and transferred by our ‘Frame by Frame’ digital scanning service. Preserve your old Cine films safely to digital format to watch with ease for future years.

We digitally scan ‘Frame by Frame’, convert and transfer silent Standard 8 and Super 8 Cine film. Maximum reel size 400 feet. (7” diameter)

We do not convert Cine film that has sound.
The majority of home Cine film recordings were silent. As standard, we add a ‘Cine Projector’ soundtrack for authenticity. If requested the soundtrack can be left as silent.

Cine film is scanned ‘Frame by Frame’ at 1080 resolution. We supply your digital film conversion using one of the following choice of output format.

Your Options

MP4 On USB Stick
MP4 movie file. Your MP4 movie files are supplied on a single USB stick. The stick is compatible with PC and Mac computers. With video editing software you can edit your MP4 movie files if you wish.  The stick will also play on most modern televisions with USB slot.

Download
MP4 movie file. Your MP4 movie files are available to download directly to your PC or Mac computer. (Not suitable for tablet or phone) With video editing software you can edit your MP4 movie files if you wish. You can transfer the files to a USB stick for viewing on a compatible television with USB slot.

DVD
Traditional DVD. We provide a single DVD of your Cine film reels. If there is a required running order of your reels this must be provided at time of order. A DVD is for watching on any television with DVD player. The DVD will also play in most computers that have DVD media player software installed. You cannot edit the DVD.

DVD Disc

If preferred to MP4 a traditional DVD that will play using a standard DVD player and television. The disc will also play on a computer with DVD media player installed.
