Video Tape Conversion
The Process
All video tapes are converted using computer. Analogue tapes are downloaded to the computer via video editing processor, which enhances colour and gamma. Analogue tapes are subject to TBC (Time Based Correction).
All tapes are downloaded at their natural speed. If the tape is 90 minutes long, it takes 90 minutes to download to the computer.
After the download all the video tape scenes are inspected and screened manually. During this process we edit, to ensure a clean start and end to the tape. All blank sections of the tape are edited out and we clean up bad cuts that you often get between scenes. Any obvious unwanted TV recordings are also edited out. We do not edit out bad filming, as this is not for us to decide!
Once this process has been completed we convert the video to a final DV file where we trim the outside edges of the picture.
Once completed we convert your video recording to a final DV file to produce your chosen media of DVD or MP4 movie file.
This final DV file remains on our system for a minimum of 30 days, usually a lot longer. During this time you can re-order from the file once again.
